De La Semilla

Working directly with Cameron Mitchell Restaurants from concept to completion, De La Semilla, Spanish for "of the seed", pulls from the bold and bright “roots” of Mediterranean Coastal cuisine, as a vining, crawling texture in front of a backlit surface. An elegant yet exciting composition is taken in as customers walk around from the hostess stand into the restaurant, following up the stairs, being the last piece seen by all those leaving. Inspired by the zesty palette of the Del Mar fare, De La Semilla captures the breathtaking class that the restaurant atmosphere upholds indoor and outdoor, while holding true to my architectural and craftsman process.
Completion
Pulling from all my architectural and creative talents, while remaining conscious of budget and client intent, the journey in which this custom piece came with was truly the crossroads of my artistic measure and monotonous craft, to draftsmanship and installation construction. The end result has never shouted anything louder to my years' worth of design and architectural development, leading to this point.
